Why JWDS?

Joe Wilson Driving Services has been set up by Joe Wilson, an experienced driver of many years within the industry, who was, before that, an enthusiast for many years closely following the latest happenings. Therefore, I, Joe, know that what works for one company will not work for another, therefore we offer a bespoke service tailored to meet your requirements. Whether you need a driver for a single job, one day, or ongoing cover for a few weeks, or even months we will be able to put a package together that works for you, and at a price to suit you.

How big are you?

I like to think we occupy that Goldilocks zone, we are big enough to cope, whilst being small enough to care. As well as driving myself, I handle all the bookings and manage all clients, therefore JWDS is able to provide you with a personal service, to us you are a person, running a business, not just a number and client number. In short WE CARE!

What kind of drivers do you employ?

I thoroughly check every driver, tour guide, driver guide and every member of staff working for JWDS, all staff are well qualified drivers with up-to-date CPC and tachograph training, all drivers are checked frequently to ensure everything is compliant. I am personally over compliant in the recording of drivers hours. Whilst many of our drivers do work for other organizations as well, we assist them to ensure full compliance.

We heard some agencies treat staff badly, do you?

No! No no no no no! No! We offer our drivers full employment benefits, such as; holiday pay, pension and full PAYE employment, within this we do not demand exclusivity, meaning our drivers can have their cake and eat it.

As I said above though, every business is different, and, every driver is different, some of our drivers prefer to earn more money in lieu of the benefits, if that is what they prefer we also offer them this.
